For some reason I thought it would be a
good idea to do more than just one floating head on a small canvas.
Instead I'm now working on a large canvas with 11 figures. The daily
painting will resume in a week. But don't expect to see this painting
again anytime soon, I anticipate it taking a month or two to finish.
This is a portrait of the Artist Sarah Sedwick. She challenged other artists to paint a portrait of her from one of her reference photos. Go check out her blog and at the link below, leave her a comment, follow her on facebook, buy something from her Etsy. Or, if you are also an artist try your hand at recreating this portrait yourself.
First painting of the new year! This is
a portrait of an artist friend from Eugene. I'm still working on my
other projects. I know I've been posting a number of "works in
progress" lately, but everything will eventually be finished.
Here is a link to her blog if you would
like to see Sarah's paintings, also you should follow her on her
facebook and etsy. She often has deals on her work, cheap auctions,
and giveaways of cool paintings: http://sedwickpaints.blogspot.com/
